A Spinner Dolphin (Stenella longirostris) pod swims through the waters of Baa Atoll in The Maldives. Spinner Dolphins are a very sociable species, often forming huge pods many hundreds strong. During the daytime they can usually be found resting in shallow coastal water or lagoons, whereas at night they tend to head into areas of deeper water to hunt for prey such as small fish and squid.
